In 2012, Kim Lewis partnered with Touch A Life and Connor’s Song to design and build the Connor Creative Art Center in Ghana, West Africa—a therapeutic space created to heal, empower, and awaken the creativity of children rescued from trafficking. Touch A Life and their partners in Ghana have rescued over 90 children from Lake Volta and operate a long-term care center to provide stability and hope.

The design of the art center honors Connor, a young boy who tragically passed at age 12 and loved art, Star Wars, and Legos. Inspired by his passion, the building was conceived as three interconnected “blocks,” crafted from local materials including concrete culverts. The architecture is symbolic: like Legos, which gain strength when joined together, the children supported by Rapha House are stronger when nurtured in a community.

The Connor Creative Art Center stands as a testament to resilience, community, and hope, reflecting the enduring legacy of Connor and the mission of Touch A Life.
